Let's go back to the beginning
OUR STORY
Devil's Bridge Rum started with a place. A gorge in mid-Wales, a bridge with a story older than most countries, and the quiet conviction that Wales deserved a rum worth talking about.
We take aged Caribbean rum - rum that's already spent years becoming something good - and finish it with flavours that are distinctly, unapologetically Welsh. Welsh cake. Bara brith. The kind of things your nan made without a recipe.
The result is something that doesn't exist anywhere else. Which, given where we're from, feels about right.
"Too much modern rum is engineered for marketing, not for drinking. We wanted to bring authenticity back into the glass."
Matt Servini, Master Distiller
MEET THE TEAM
We started Devil's Bridge Rum for a simple reason: we couldn't find a rum we'd genuinely choose to drink ourselves.
Too many brands relied on excessive sweetness, artificial flavourings and flashy marketing to hide what was ultimately an average spirit.
As lifelong rum enthusiasts, we knew there was another way.
So we spent two years developing a range that put quality, flavour and authenticity first. Starting with carefully selected aged rum and building products we'd be proud to share with fellow rum lovers.
At the same time, we wanted to create something that felt unmistakably Welsh. Not a gimmick. Not a novelty. A genuinely premium spirit inspired by the place we call home.
Today, every bottle of Devil's Bridge Rum reflects the same mission that started it all: creating exceptional rum with real character, real craftsmanship and a story worth sharing.

THE DBR PROMISE
Every product we make is built on the same foundation. Real ingredients, genuine craft, and an obsession with getting it right. No artificial flavourings. No shortcuts. No compromises.
Real ingredients. Always.
No artificial flavourings, no shortcuts. If it's in the bottle, it came from somewhere real.
Aged properly.
We don't rush it. Our rum spends years in bourbon barrels before we touch it.
Small batch. On purpose.
We're not trying to be the biggest rum brand in the world. We're trying to be the best one from Wales.
Welsh through and through.
Every product carries something distinctly Welsh - whether that's bara brith, Welsh cake, or the place it was made.
THE LEGEND BEHIND THE BOTTLE
Back in the 11th century, an old woman living in the Cambrian Mountains found her cow had wandered across a ravine. With no way to cross, the devil appeared and offered her a deal - he'd build a bridge overnight, but the first soul to cross it would be his.
She agreed. He built it. And when morning came, instead of crossing herself, she tossed a loaf of bara brith onto the bridge and let her dog run after it.
The devil got a dog. She got her cow back. He was never seen in Wales again.
It's a story about wit over brawn. About refusing to be beaten by something bigger than you. And about a woman who outwitted the most powerful force in the universe with bread and a dog.
That's the spirit Devil's Bridge Rum is built on. Quietly confident.
Unapologetically Welsh. And always one step ahead.
