FAQs
What is Devil's Bridge Rum?
Devil's Bridge Rum is a premium, small-batch Welsh rum brand. Inspired by a famous Welsh legend, it is a uniquely crafted spirit that blends Caribbean heritage with the flavours and culture of Wales.
Where is Devil's Bridge Rum made?
Our rum begins its journey in the Caribbean (Jamaica and Barbados) before being shipped to our distillery in Wales. Here, it is distilled in copper pot stills and infused with our signature Welsh ingredients.
What makes it different from other rums?
Unlike mass-produced spirits, Devil’s Bridge is a handcrafted, small-batch rum with a distinctively Welsh soul.
We use a unique infusion process featuring Bara Brith (traditional fruit loaf) for sweetness, Glengettie Black Tea for a dry finish, and Shirgar Carmarthenshire Butter for a signature velvety smoothness you won't find anywhere else.
How is it made?
We start with a base of Caribbean rum aged for up to six years. Once in Wales, it is steeped with our botanicals and spices, then distilled in a copper pot still to ensure a complex, high-quality spirit.
Is Devil’s Bridge Rum good for sipping neat?
Absolutely. Because of the addition of Carmarthenshire butter and the quality of the aged base, it is exceptionally smooth with no "burn," making it an ideal sipping rum to enjoy neat or over ice.
Is it aged in barrels?
Yes, our rum is matured for approximately six years in ex-bourbon barrels in the tropical climate of the Caribbean before it arrives in Wales for its final infusion and distillation.
How should I drink it?
It’s incredibly versatile. Enjoy it neat or over ice to appreciate the complex notes of Bara Brith and spice. It also works perfectly with ginger beer, premium cola, or as a bold base for classic cocktails like an Old Fashioned or a Mai Tai.
